Octavo. 6 leaves, 14 plates. Original tan textured stiff wraps with gilt-embossed eagle and lettering on cover, protected by modern mylar. Nazi propaganda work making the case for the necessity and development of a German Air Force in the foreword by B. u. H. von Römer while stressing the German superiority in the sectors of passenger and gliding aviation. Intended to spur enthusiasm for aviation among the German youth it includes 102 b/w photographs (app. 2 x 2 1/2") of German and international airplanes pasted to stiff gray plates with descriptive captions and commentary on the state of the art of respective airplane types. The photographs were to be obtained with the purchase of Austria Tabak AG cigarettes. Includes five glossy leaves with full page b/w photographs of airplane types, e.g. the wings-only glider "Parabola." List of Airplanes at rear, divided into the categories warplanes, sport and passenger airplanes, Zeppelins and airplanes in the developmental state. Text in German. Surprisingly well preserved with light wear along edges. and slightly rubbed covers. Binding and interior in overall very good condition. Seller Inventory # 43808
