About this Item
Tan cloth with pink lettering. Small quarto. 195pp. Illustrated with 8 color plates by Lemuel Palmer. First edition. A collection of stories featuring many of the author's familiar animal characters. There is the story of how Peter Rabbit found the most precious thing in all the great world, why the Green Forest has no king, how Cold Toes won a new tail, how Old Mr. Toad opened Peter Rabbit's eyes, of Mrs. Possum's big pocket, how Paddy the Beaver looked ahead, and many other tales of furry and feathered folk. A very good copy with light wear to the cloth. The text is fine and clean. The scarce jacket is very good with some light soiling to the rear panel and some light chipping to the spine tips. It has the original price of $2.00 on the front flap. A great copy. Seller Inventory # 7505
