About Near Fine condition, 1st edition, 1st impression, 3rd state with the corrected "and" on page 232, unbattered type and "Printed September 1922" on the copyright page. Original forest green cloth with titles in blind on the front, in gold on the spine. 11 short stories of glamour and anomie by one of the first American celebrity authors, on the cusp of the roaring twenties. The book is very clean and bright inside and out, with very little wear to the covers save slight shelf crimping to the spine, the merest touches to the corners, and slight fading to the spine gilt. The text also is very clean and bright excepting slight dust-staining to the top text block and very minor toning to the endpapers. Further protected by a mylar sheath.
