First Edition, First Printing of both books in this complete 2 volume set. This copy has the important First Issue points "text with page 213 correctly numbered" "hyphen at the end of the sixth line from the bottom appears in place" and "the "i" in "ing" on the thirteenth line from the bottom is just barely below the line" This two volume set is complete with advertisements and appendix pages. Both books are bound in the Publisher's purple muslin printed paper with labels affixed to spines. The front endpapers and rear pastedown are replaced in volume 1 with some light staining to the title page. The bindings on the books are tight with wear to the spine labels and boards. The pages are clean with some wear and discoloration. A wonderful set bound in the original cloth housed in a custom drop box case for preservation. We buy Edgar Allan Poe First Editions.
