Thacher served as president of the Cape Cod Farm Bureau ; in that capacity he began writing travel experiences to the Cape Cod Farm Bureau News. This volume is a collection of 13 essays commencing with Message from England (1923), and travels through Scotland, France, Italy, and America's west and south enroute home.
