(London: Merit Books 1954) First UK Edition. Publisher's red boards with gilt lettering to the spine. Top edge of text block slightly spotted else VG+ (with boards really bright and clean) in a slightly worn at corners/ tips of spine (2mm loss on average) short tear (1.5cm tear to front panel now closed and hardly visible), vertical crease top to bottom at the left-hand edge of the front panel, rear panel slightly soiled/ dust-dulled else VG+ dustwrapper. Rare in dustwrapper. Looks much nicer than it sounds. N.B: author is best known for her Just William female equivalent Jane. A 'Merit' romance. Photographs/scans available upon request.
