A bump to the top right-hand corner of the front board and to the top left-hand corner of the back board, a hint of spine fade, very minor surface loss to the top right and bottom left-hand corner of the front board and a tiny tear/abrasion to the bottom left-hand corner of the front free end-paper (likely a production flaw) otherwise a near fine copy which appears to have been little read. This is the first edition of Julia Donaldson's very first book and a modern rarity (which is rare in commerce). NB: Donaldson's first book and not to be confused with the later reissue in dustwrapper by Macmillan. Superb illustrations by Axel Scheffler. Photographs/scans available upon request.
