dark maroon cloth, gilt titles to spine, spots of foxing throughout. The 22 colour plates are, by today's standards, poorly reproduced. Regrettably, the previous owner has added more recent reproductions, 5 pasted to the blank side of five plates and six pasted directly over the published plates.
