First English edition, first printing. Bound in publisher's dark green cloth stamped in blind and lettered in gilt. Near Fine with slightly dulled lettering to spine, wear to cloth with softened corners. Inner hinges and rear endpapers neatly repaired. Previous ownership to prelim and half title page with minor toning to contents. Housed in a custom clamshell box. Nietzsche's philosophical prose-poem magnum opus. "'Thus Spoke Zarathrusta' glorifies the Ubermensch (superman). It is a long philosophical prose poem and the most widely known of his works.
