Reproduction of Blakes 'Songs of Innocence' from a copy in the British Museum published in 1926. This is an interesting copy as it comes from the private collection of the the actor Paul Scofield. This is a copy that was given to him by an admirer (signature not legible) to congratulate him on his performance as Dimetos, inscription on the front free end paper reads 'To Paul, With gratitude and admiration for a blazing performance ??, First night 'Dimetos' Comedy Theatre 24/5/76''. Publisher's original black cloth binding with title in gold to spine and gold patterning on front. Original dust jacket unclipped. Binding good though worn at spine. DJ very poor - held together on spine with tape. Pages clean with just some discolouration on front and back end papers.
