A quite remarkable find: both volumes of this spectacular set published in 1919 and 1923 respectively. Hard Cover. Volume 1 is very good with foxing and staining to the text pages, but the 100 b/w full page one-sided photographic plates are unmarked and like new. Volume 2, remarkably, is about as close to like new as you could get for a one hundred year old book. Some very minor foxing to the edges of the page block, but the prints are again immaculate and it is hard to see any fault in the book at all. 13" high x 8 1/2" wide. Bound in publisher's blue cloth with gilt lettering. Volume I has 16 pp. of text and 100 plates; Volume II has 19 pp. of text and 100 plates. Volume I was published in 1919 by Technical Journals Ltd of London, Volume 2 by The Architectural Press in London in 1923. This is a very good hardcover set of the two volumes bound in blue cloth ruled and titled in gilt. Volume 1 is devoted to exteriors and volume 2 covers interiors and details. 200 black & white plates (100 per volume); some invaluable architectural plans and measured drawings of long-demolished and very fine buildings in volume 2.
