First edition. G/-. Book measures 5-1/2" x 7-1/2", 112 pages. Brown cloth, dark brown and yellow illustration and lettering. Rubbed at extremities, board exposed all corners, ends of spine frayed, covers moderately soiled. There are a couple of school stamps, but no library marks or pastedowns. The contents are remarkably clean, with the occasional faint finger smudge. A couple of pages have short closed tears at the lower edge, with no loss of text. This is quite a nice copy of a scarce old reader, with wonderful illustrations. Seller Inventory # 8478
