Otto of the Silver Hand. Howard Pyle. [1888] first edition; Scribner s; quarter leather hardcover with slipcase very good or better antiquarian condition. This is a remarkably scarce illustrated first edition with crisp gold text on spine and front board. Only very light general handling wear, rubbing, edgewear; some handling wear to flyleaf; bookplate and very small label on pastedown. Title page is a bit precarious, with tissue guard in place as issued. Tight/square; truly exceptional. Brown slipcase is good to very good with normal rubbing, toning, light handling wear.
