This is the 22nd volume of the Scottish Geographical Magazine, published by The Royal Scottish Geographical Society, covering the period January to December, 1906. It contains a wide range of fascinating articles on travel, exploration, geography and geology from around the world. A few of the articles are: The Great Plains of the United States; The Amundsen Expedition to the Magnetic Pole; The Faeroe Islands; Spouthern Nigeria; The History of the Scottish Peat Mosses and their Relation to the Glacial PEriod; The Southern Highlands from Dumgoyn; Malta - Notes on a Recent Visit; A Ride From Quetta to Loralai; The Progress of New South Wales; and A Study of a Swiss Valley. The book is bound in the original blue cloth covered boards with gold titling on the spine and a gold stamped emblem on the front board. The case of the book is in very good condition with light shelf wear on the boards. The bottom of the spine is lightly bumped and there is slightly heavier bumping to the top of the spine and top corners. The contents are tight and clean with browning to the free endpapers.
