First edition. 8vo. 298pp. Inscription by previous owner. Very good in scarce dustwrapper. Old Irish Script. Seamus O Grianna was born in Ranafast, Co, Donegal in 1889. He trained as a teacher and eventually moved to Dublin. He worked under the auspices of the first Dail as a promoter and teacher of Irish. He wrote his novels under the pseudonym of Maire. Saoghal Corrach is a sequel to his first Autobiography and is " much bleaker in tone and outlook".He published over thirty novels, short stories, historical vignettes, autobiographical works , local history, and readers for use in schools.
