Size when folded: 9 1/8 x 7"; Unfolded: 18 x 27 1/2". Original photo-illustrated wrappers. French-language anti-Soviet brochure published by the Nazis in occupied France in the early stages of their invasion of Russia in the summer of 1941. Illustrated with 14 photogravures, including two large photomontages, this work condemns the USSR anti-religious campaign, and the persecution of Christians that followed. Inside front fold with anti-Christian photomontage from Spanish Civil War. In showing the re-opening of churches throughout the areas of Russia under Nazi occupation, the brochure intends to present the German soldier as not a conqueror, but as a deliverer. and a soldier of God! Minor and sporadic foxing to wrappers. A 1 1/4" and 3 3/4" closed tear along folding marks at lower margin. Text in French. Wrappers and interior in overall good+ to very good condition.
