First UK Edition. A book-plate has been removed from the front paste-down otherwise the book is in near fine condition. The D/W is VG indeed and is complete with no wear, tears or pieces missing but with 4 little tape residue marks on the verso of the D/W two of which just show on the front and rear end-papers. The only other fault to the D/W is a faint, vertical crease to the left hand edge of the front cover. Notwithstanding these faults this copy shows really well and is eminently shelvable. Rare.
