Hard Cover. Good/No Jacket. First Edition. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall. no date, but seemingly World War One period, pictorial cloth much worn, cover shows three children looking through porthole at warship that forms part of the title page, text block shaky, not paginated, but about 60pp, several coloured plates, and other b/w drawings in text. Picture on final page has been coloured in by a child. The artist is not named, but a companion volume about the army, advertised on the rear cover, is illustrated by Charles Robinson.
