About this Item
New York: Robert McBridge & Company, 1933. 8vo, 250 p., original dark blue cloth with spine stamped in gilt. Zenzinov was a member of Russia's Socialist Revolutionary Party who was exiled to Siberia. While there, he committed himself to writing ethnographic studies and anthropological works on the region's inhabitants. This is an account of his return journey to Siberia many years later, with descriptions of the region between Irkutsk and Russkoye Ustye in the Arctic north. Some bleeding of topspin to upper page margins, else a clean sharp copy in a VG+ jacket with small closed tear to lower edge front jacket panel, but a NF/VG+ copy overall.
