Published 1703-1704. EXTREMELY RARE. The introduction mentions that the author is of Arab origin, and an expert in Islamic law and religion. The first part deals with the creation of the world, the second and third deals with various aspects of the Prophet?s thoughts, the women in Islam, the Caliphate, and Islamic beliefs and sects. this work, which is intended to ridicule the religious practices of the Turks, comprises translations (apparently for the first time into European language) of two Islamic religious treatises. The first is a work by Ahmad ibn Musa al-Khayali (d. 1457 ?) and the second is the Wasiyyet-name (also known as the Risale) of the Turkish scholar Mehmed ibn Pir ?Ali Birgewi (or Birgili d. 1573), a manuel of the rudiments of theology.
