This is the original 1885 edition of Records of The Woodmen of Arden, printed for private circulation 1885. Green boards with gilt detail to front. Covers slightly marked and with scuffing to edges and spine. Spine bumped to head and with wear to top corner of rear board. Pencilled name and date to half-title (J. W. Sceales [James Sceales?]). Pencilled table of information to rear of frontis. Hinges firm but in several places within the book the binding is opening and cracking, with some sections weak: with careful handling this will be fine but if the book is opened flat or forced, this will weaken the binding considerably. Text generally bright with the odd small patch of light foxing. Very scarce. Provenance: from the Library of Robert Hardy, author and actor. (Ua2). Seller Inventory # 000036
