True first British printing with original slipcase. No jacket as issued. Illustrated by George Mackie. Translated by George Kay - each poem is printed in the Italian with the English translation to the opposite page. Slipcase is in only good condition with a few small marks, few bumps/rubs, the odd small split and rubbing to edges. Boards are near fine with minor pushing/bumping to corners, a little patchy rubbing to edges and minor pushing/rubbing to head/tail of spine. Pages are generally clean and the binding is tight. Neat gift inscription and date in pen to front blank page. Pages bit tanned. Very occasional small mark to pages. No other faults. A nice copy. All books described honestly and accurately.
