Includes chapters on geographical features of Persia, its population, soil and products, infrastructure and culture, its religion, the Kurds, Nestorians and Armenians, a sketch of woman's life in Persia, the village, business and city life and the Oriental barber. The final two chapters, of eleven, treat the Evangelization of the world and a final chapter on the needs of Persia, including a history of the Christian missions and Persia's need of Christianity. Basil L. Sarmast was born on June 10, 1869, in Zivig, Oroomiah State, Persia. Treatise on the culture and religion of Persia with special consideration of Christianity.
