First UK edition. DOUBLE SIDED jacket !Book shows a trace of fading to the top of the spine where jacket had chipped, otherwise FINE. The scarce double sided jacket exhibits minor chipping and rubbing to extremities, with some sunning to spine; VERY GOOD. Pulitzer Prize for Fiction. Source for the movie with Spencer Tracy. Jacket variant not mentioned in Hanemann may have been intended for later printings but with the corresponding fade to book tip and jacket chips, this jacket was issued with the first edition book.
