About this Item

Description:

Small Crown Quarto edition, and the First Popular Edition. Illustrated with 20 color plates after drawings by W. Russell Flint. 4to, publisher s original green cloth, lettered in tan on the spine panel. x, 331, [1] pp. A very fine copy, bright and clean, the binding tight and strong. A LOVELY COPY OF AN ICONIC ENGLISH ILLUSTRATED WORK.We've always considered the Medici edition of Malory to be one of the most beautiful, and their edition of Homer certainly stands out from the competition as well. Flint's illustrations add flavor to the story by offering the perfect complement of romanticism and classical grace. Seller Inventory # 33200
