First Edition. Publisher's black hard cloth with the unclipped dust-jacket. Inscribed in black pen by the author on the half-title page, "For Anne, warmest best wishes from, Frederick Forsyth 8/12/86". Book is square and bright; jacket slightly rubbed at head of spine and corner tips, with two short, closed tears to edges of back panel. A VG+ copy of Forsyth's third major novel, adapted into a movie in 1974 starring Jon Voight and Maximilian Schell and directed by Ronald Neame with a score by Andrew Lloyd Webber.
