On the copyright page it states, in part - "The folklore material in this publication is reprinted from various numbers of the 'Nebraska Folklore Pamphlet' series." Obviously, members of the Nebraska Writer's Project felt they could do a better job than the initial pamphlets and they certainly succeeded.
