Vol 1 has 320pp with 20 illustrations and vol 2 has 306pp with 20 illustrations and a 3 page postscriptplus an advert for Dickens other works. firsat edition in 1st state with principal spelled wrongly on page115 of vol 2. Bound from parts as the stab holes are visible and on the title page of vol 2 a bit of the blue cover of the hagazine is still showing.collated as per Eckel with the smal tipped in note to the reader still present at the beginning of vol 1.Illustrated by Marcus Stone.The contents are clean with only very light foxing here and there.Plain ep's and no inscriptiions. Half leather bound in black with brown cloth boards. The spine is creased and fraying at the head and a small chip at the foot. Corners are bumped.Binding is tight and sound. A good clean copy.
