Rare stated first edition of this very scarce title in the "Crime Club Series" The front hinge is loosening and half title page laid in ( First text page laid in as well) The front fly page has library pocket of e.w. edwards circulating library (Rochester, New York) and below the pocket on the same page is a 5 digit book number stamp but no other signs of ex librus, some rubbing and other minor edgewear ; also a speck of foxing on end pages but a much better than described book. Long sold out, copies of the 13 pound tribute to the musicians who created the unique R&B genre are occasionally available on ABE. The book was a collaborative effort of Rare Reads and many others including the musicians that created the sound Southerns term "Beach Music." Rare Reads is considering future publications in addition to expanding its online enterprise. Rare Reads is operated by Greg Haynes and son Reid Haynes and has warehouses in Atlanta and Athens, Georgia.
