Volume I: vii intro, 406 pages, tissue protected frontispiece of the Prince in 1846 (age 27).; one other illustration; Volume II 502 pages including index, tpf of the Prince as Chancellor. 3 further eillustrations. *** CONTENTS: Edited from Prince Alexander of Hohenlohe Schillingsfuerst and translated from the first German edition and supervised by George W Chrystal. Volume I covers the period of the Prince's early years; most of the book is taken up with the Bavarian Ministry of 1867-1870. Volume II covers the Prince's further career until his death in 1901. The Prince was a liberal statesman and ambassador who was Chancellor from 1894-1900.
