About this Item
Original maroon cloth, stamped and lettered in gilt. Octavo - 295 pp, 16 pages of publisher's catalog, dated February 1892. Corners slightly bumped. Minor edge-wear to the spine ends. Head and foot of spine slightly pushed. Endpapers slightly toned. Early previous owner signature to the front free endpaper. A clean, tight and solid example of this important text, said to have provided some inspiration to Bram Stoker as he was creating Dracula - published six years later. For more information on Sabine Baring-Gould I recommend reading "The Moor" by Laurie R. King. She paints a fascinating picture of this brilliant and eccentric man. Very Good. Seller Inventory # 20086
