A handsomely bound edition of this biography of the daughter of King Francis I of France, a patron of literature, who corresponded with, and furthered the careers of, Ronsard, Du Bellay and other members of the Pleiade, the group of critics and poets who flourished in France in the second half of the Sixteenth Century.
