This is the complete parts of Volume 1 (New Series), 1869-70, of Cassell's Magazine, in which Man and Wife was first published serially, prior to publication of the first stand alone edition later in 1870. A very scarce piece of publishing history. A total of 592 pages, most of which are very good but tape marks to one page. Bound in dark green buckram with gilt lettering to spine; gutters cracked, rear board slightly loose showing webbing, binding otherwise good. Language: eng. Seller Inventory # 5114
