The First UK printing published by Blackie in 1918 (Undated Edition)The BOOK is in VERY GOOD condition. Green cloth spine with faded lettering.Grey paper-covered boards with a large pasted-down Colour illustration of a child watching the moon on the front cover.Edge wear and some soiling to the boards with the corners worn (see images).Rear hinge cracked but holding.The 12 Colour Plates are all present and clean. Large Monochrome illustrations frame the text.The endpapers are illustrated in green with a double page illustration of Fairies.Illustrated half-title, preliminary and title Pages.An occasional light fingermark in a margin, otherwise pages are in clean condition. Florence's works initially came to the notice of the general public following Blackie's decision to produce her book entitled 'The Rhyme Of A Run' in 1907.The following year this was followed-up by 'In The Fairy Ring'.A very scarce Children's title to find complete and at the time of listing the only available copy as such on the market.
