About this Item
The Mad King is a Ruritanian romance originally published in two parts as "The Mad King" and "Barney Custer of Beatrice" in All-Story Weekly, in 1914 and 1915, respectively. These were combined for the book edition, first published in hardcover by A. C. McClurg in 1926. This hardback, first edition copy features blue cloth boards showing corner rubs. Red lettering shows wear but still very readable. Spine shows rubs at both extremes. Binding is first state with 1926 date on title page, errors on pp 12 and 92. All pages are uniformly tan. The book will be carefully wrapped and boxed for safe shipping. Seller Inventory # 004793
