Very likely the first US edition, of 1881. Condition is VERY GOOD ; corners bumped, ends of spine worn with some loss. Covers very clean with some faint rubbing. Inner front hinge starting, and rear outer hinge shows some splitting, though binding is sound. Text very clean with extensive contemporary notes in pencil on ffep. Fiction. RGR.
