About this Item
160pp, profusely illustrated in color and b&w. Text in English and Italian. With a biography and filmography. This is the beautifully produced hardbound catalogue that accompanied a Cinecitta sponsored retrospective devoted to the career and work of the late, great Italian comedic actor/writer/director Massimo Troisi - who tragically suffered a fatal heart attack in 1994 the day after wrapping his Academy Award nominated performance in Michael Radford's "Il Postino (The Postman)". Edited by "Il Postino" screenwriter Anna Pavignano, it contains several essays on his life and work, as well as quotes, interviews and remembrances by Troisi and those he worked with. A brand new, pristine example of this uncommon item. PLEASE NOTE: Additional shipping costs are required for this item beyond our standard rates due to its weight - we will inform you of the applicable amount at time of purchase.
