Liza of Lambeth is one of 2000 copies printed of Maugham's first book. As noted by Stott (A1) this is one of the variant with "all rights reserved" printed without brackets on the verso of the title page. Original green cloth boards with flawed/faded gilt to the lettering and illustration on the front board and spine. Black lettering and publishers imprint to the rear board. Light wear to the spine ends and corners. Slight lean to the book. Previous owners bookplate on the front pastedown. Light foxing the front and final pages and rear catalogue. 242 pp plus 6 page publishers catalogue at the rear. Seller Inventory # 000819
