The front matter is dated 1901 and Thornton [13370] suggests a date of 1901. Sallie Walker Stockard (1869-1963) was born near Saxapahaw, North Carolina (in Alamance County) and was the first woman to receive a degree at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Scarce.
