This is a binding variant to Gilcher (A Bibliography of George Moore) A27a, comprising of the sheets of the first edition, first issue. With the two page dedicatory letter to Edouard DuJardin, in French, on pages v-vi. With embossed previous owner's address, of Nantclwyd Hall, Ruthin, North Wales on front free endpaper and half-title.
