8vo. First edition, second printing. 478 pp. Purple cloth with a printed title label on the spine. An extra title label is loosely attached to the rear paste-down. Former owner's name on the f.f.e.p., and it appears that a bookplate has been removed from the front paste-down. A small label from Brentano's is affixed to the lower margin of the rear paste-down; a penciled price and date (10/16) appears on the front paste-down. In its original DJ, which shows light wear but is in remarkably fine shape given that it is almost a century old. The DJ has the book's price in both American and English currency on the spine.
