33 illustrations, many from instantaneous photographs. 352 pages. Olive green cloth with gilt decoration and lettering on front and spine in superb condition, top page edges gilt. Excellent condition copy of one of the cornerstone books in the ladies' library of golf. UNCOMMON, POSSIBLY UNIQUE COPY. This is a first edition copy with the publishing date of 1904 on the title page and no other dates indicated on verso but tipped into the book after page 336 is the chapter added to the second revised edition of 1907, with pagination through to page 352 and top page edges gilt. The second editions did not have top page edges gilt. Light toning to pastedown and only the slightest scattered light foxing. The title page bears the blind stamp in the upper corner, "With the Publisher's Compliments". Extraordinary condition and scarce in this state. Covers protected in mylar. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Seller Inventory # 000362
