- Octavo, 7-1/2 inches high by 5 inches wide. Hardcover, pictorial boards featuring an illustration by Gorey, titled in black on the front cover and on the spine. The book is laid into a matching price-clipped dust wrapper with a self-portrait by Gorey on the rear panel. The corners and head and tail of the book's spine are rubbed. There are a couple of tiny tears to the top edge of the dust jacket with minor rubbing to the folds. The top of the jacket's inner flaps are darkened.
