First UK Edition. Publisher's original illustrated light brown cloth covers, red title and author lettering to the spine and the upper panel. A neat name and date (1916) on the front free end-paper otherwise VG indeed in the VERY RARE D/W which has a shallow chip to the head of the spine (which does not affect the lettering). The D/W is priced 5/- net to the spine (as called for) and replicates the design of the front board with black illustration of an infantryman peering through binoculars.
