A collection of 121 colour woodblock-printed illustrations of chrysanthemums by Kawarasaki Kōdō, an artist skilled at painting flower motifs. Kōdō was a craftsman and dyeing designer who studied under Yamamoto Sekka. He became famous for his elegant designs that drew on the Neo-Rinpa style of artists such as Kamisaka Sekka. Original orihon accordion-folding binding, in original boards. Ex-ownership stickers to wrappers and original slipcase. Title written on spine of slipcase. Minor damage to page extremities of volume 1. Otherwise near fine. 2 v., complete. 14, 13 leaves. 33.7 x 23.2 cm. Extra shipping charges may be applied due to size and weight of item.
