1907. First Edition. 244 pages. Brown cloth boards with gilt lettering. Contains black and white plates. Clean pages and plates with noticeable tanning and foxing throughout. More pronounced to free endpapers and pastedowns. Pencil and pen writings to front free endpaper, back pastedown and title page. Plate opposite page 94 and page 95 are detached but still present. Top textblock edge dyed gilt. Pen and pencil annotations and marginalia to a few pages. Hinges and gutters are slightly cracked with exposed netting. Binding remains firm. Boards have moderate edge-wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Gilt lettering is darkened. Heavy sunning to spine and boards with crushing to spine ends.
