Arader Galleries in New York City is one of the nation's foremost sellers of illustrated material from the sixteenth to the nineteenth centuries. Arader Books began in 2021 as a curated set of antiquarian books of the highest quality, specializing in atlases, voyages and natural history items -- especially plates of birds and flowers. Our shop is located at 1016 Madison Avenue (at East 79th Street) over six stories of a historic beaux-arts mansion. We welcome inquiries in-person, over the telephone or via e-mail.
Jonah Rosenberg was educated at Brown University (A.B. (Honors) in Classics: Greek & Latin) and at the University of Oxford (St. John's College, D.Phil in Classical Archaeology). He has been a professor of art-history for over a decade and an antiquarian bookseller for nine years. These joint pursuits position him to describe and catalog illustrated material with absolute precision as well as scholarly authority. His aim is to build his clients' knowledge and enthusiasm about this material. Please feel free to write with any queries you may have; note that Dr. Rosenberg works Tuesday-Saturday, 10-6.
