About this Item
First American edition, first printing of what is widely considered one of the most important texts of modern Zionism in which Herzl envisioned the founding of a future independent Jewish state during the 20th century. Recently recased with front and rear panels of cloth persevered over new spine cloth. Very Good with scuffing and soiling to cloth and light pencil markings to text, paged tanned, slight edge wear to several leafs. A pivotal work in which Herzl argued that the best way to avoid antisemitism in Europe was to create this independent Jewish state. This book encouraged Jews to purchase land in Palestine, although the possibility of a Jewish state in Argentina is also considered. Seller Inventory # 140944556
