12mo. vi,[1],304pp. Gilt-stamped brown cloth with lettering in gilt on spine. Blind-stamped decoration on front board. 32 short stories of the Japanese fairy world. Illustrated with 11 reproductions of drawings in b/w by Ozawa of Tokyo. Each plate is protected by a tissue guard. Head and tail of spine with small (1/8") chips. Binding with some rubbing to the head, tail and front hinge of the spine. Corners also lightly rubbed. Front end paper and first blank repaired with japan tissue at interior front hinge. Book block otherwise tight. Dated period signature of a previous owner in pen on the front free endpaper. Minor age toning to the edges of pages throughout. Binding in good, interior in very good- condition overall. Protected in modern mylar. Seller Inventory # 49981
