VG copy of a used book. Black HB covers in sepia/brown d/w.Not price-clipped. No date, circa 1930, presumed first edition. 285pps.No inscriptions or other faults, this is a very good copy. Likewise, the d/w is well-preserved, now in prot. plastic, its only fault being slight wear upper and lower spine. This is a collection of Tales from the North Country. It is set around the village of Overton, the title of the author's previous novel. Overton is actually the small town of Ulverston, set in the county of Cumbria, or Cumberland, as it used to be known, There is an occasional lapse into the local cumbrian dialect.
